About So Professional Editorial Services
What reviewers and authors say about my work:
“The writing is polished and poetic, and the editing is spot-on. A well-constructed and thoughtful novel on a difficult subject.”
– Marsha Skrypuch, Canadian Review of Materials on Faerie, on which I was the structural editor
“Not only is Robyn an editor of a very high calibre, but working with her has been a complete delight. I was so pleased with the care she took with my writing and it was a treat to communicate with her about stylistic and substantive matters. I highly recommend Robyn and would love to work with her in the future.”
– Dina Del Bucchia, author of Don’t Tell Me What To Do
Make every word tell. Strunk and White’s entreaty is my mantra whether I’m editing a cookbook, fiction manuscript or journal article.
An editor is your second pair of eyes and ears to ensure your material conveys your information clearly, concisely, cohesively and correctly. Your readers will be easily able to find what they need, understand what they find and act on that understanding.
Certified by Editors Canada as a structural editor and stylistic editor, I assess and shape documents from a big picture perspective. I also edit line by line and word by word. Please visit my services page to learn how I can help you create documents that communicate your message effectively.
I have an MA in political science and a Post-Degree Diploma in Professional Communication.
When I’m not bent over my keyboard or the pages of a style guide, I may be leaning over the handlebars of my road bike, crisscrossing the Lower Mainland on our fabulous bike routes, or crouching over a campfire with Girl Guides, mentoring young women as they explore their potential.
